Writing Update

It's been a little while since I've given an update on my book releases planned for this year. I've been receiving a lot of emails and messages asking me when certain books are coming out, especially the rest of the Sydney Storm MC books, so I figured I should post on my website letting everyone know what's happening with these books.

I'm currently writing Hyde's Absolution. I had originally planned to release this book earlier in the year, but I had to push it back. I am aiming to release it in late May now, depending on whether my editor can fit me in around all her other obligations and travel commitments. Stay tuned for further updates as we go!

I'm also still writing Ashton Scott. I had hoped to be able to continue publishing weekly episodes, however this is proving difficult while trying to finish Hyde's book. Going forward, I will publish the episodes as they are done. It won't be weekly. It may be fortnightly, or longer in between, depending on how I am going with Hyde.

I will be writing King's books as soon as I finish writing Hyde's book. I will write and publish these back-to-back, most likely with a two week gap in between. I do have dates in my mind that I would like to publish these books, but I won't share those dates until I know I can make them happen. I hate disappointing readers when I have to move the date.

What will I write after I finish the Sydney Storm series? I've got a super secret project I'll be working on! More info to come later in the year. I can't share more yet because it doesn't only involve me (yes, I'm a tease!). Besides that, I'll be working on Van's book, the next one in the Crave rockstar series of mine. And I'll also be plotting out the Stone Series (name to be confirmed, but that's what I've been calling it for years). This is the series that will feature Roxie's and Serena's books. Finally!! I get asked all the time when they will be coming, and this is it! They'll release in 2018. Van's book may be a late 2017 release depending on how I go fitting everything in with the secret project (let's call that one #ProjectAG okay? Just so we don't have to keep calling it the secret project lol!).

Will there be more Storm books? Like, when is Wilder's book coming?? I know so many of you are patiently waiting for Wilder's book! I honestly can't wait to write that one! Scarlett is going to test that man! LOL. And he's fucking hot in my mind *fans self* Check out his Pinterest board here.

I just want to take a moment to thank you for being so patient for these books. So many of you have reached out to me over the last few months to send me condolences after my mum passed away or to wish me well with my writing while I've been struggling. For this, I am eternally grateful. You may never know just what your gesture meant to me at the time.

Writing my last two books was hard because of what my family was going through at the time. I feel like those two books were ripped from my soul, especially Nitro's book. But writing Hyde's book has become a journey for me. It isn't one I've particularly enjoyed, because it is challenging me in so many ways that have nothing to do with the actual writing. Working through grief and change and a shift in my vision for my life while trying to write a book has tested me in ways I never realised they would. But, I'm happy to tell you that I'm making progress on everything I just mentioned, especially the book! And I have reached the point where I am really starting to love the creative process again. I get up each day now looking forward to opening my computer and playing with words. In fact, I actually think I am loving writing more now than ever. But man, this shit has been hard! Gah! Nothing good is ever easy, right?!

If you made it this far, thanks for reading it all. I wanted you to know why I keep changing dates and pushing releases. And why there hasn't been any Ashton Scott this week, and probably won't be any next week (sorry!). Just know that I am working on him every chance I get!

    One day at a time.
    One breath at a time.
    That’s how you heal.

    One word at a time.
    One page at a time.
    That’s how you write.

And at the end of the day, what matters most is that Nina has breathed. She has moved forward.

And the stars will shine upon you, whether you see only one or billions.

You’re a rockstar, Nina. Losing a parent cuts you deep, and that wound is not meant to ever heal. I know, because I’ve been there not long ago. Even a year later, no day goes by without a pain and longing and blaming myself for not spending more time with my dad. And yeah, the creativity goes right out of a window, and you want nothing to do with writing romance – the budding love, the lovers’ dreams, or the HEA. But your readers understand and support your decision of taking some time off and/or pushing the new release date forward.
So, keep rocking, my dear, and know that you are an amazing inspiration.

I am reading the original storm series for the second time. I definitely love Scott and Harlow’s story. It would be nice to see where everybody’s life takes them. Especially after the miscarriage that Harlow had! Happy writing and please keep us updated!
